I got the idea for Devi's Bliss from real-life sensual massage therapists I've met. This type of sex work might not be entirely legal, but the reality is that it exists in many places. And, it's pretty readily-available in open-minded Northern California, where the series is set. It seemed like a sexy idea to build a series around.
