Is "Dinger P.I." "leaving you alone" while you write the latest in your Mac series? When he pushes on you to get out and you have a deadline what do you do with him? He is not the shy type. How is the latest Mac mystery coming?

Dinger is proving to be a pain in the butt! He wants out, and wants his on full-length story. And yes, he IS hampering the latest Mac & deadline. I've written myself into another corner and I'll have to go WAY back in the story to make a major plot change. Rats! I've never had this trouble before, so blame it on Dinger!

Having finished "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque I was musing over a particular part and also thinking of your classic war memoir "Proud Bastards", that I also read. One of the horrors of Remarque's book was the unnecessary surgery done on the German soldiers' feet by the sadistic military doctors. It seemed a strange thing to do on a regular basis, Were the American docs sadistic?
