Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.J. Morrow My most recent book (The Illusionist) was a follow up to my first (The Finder). I still had more of the story to tell, although the first book was finished, the characters wouldn't rest until their continuing adventures were told. I will be writing a follow up novella or even a series of novellas using the some of the same characters next year.
The idea for the book I'm currently working on, my RomCom, came rom a short story I had published many years ago. It wasn't funny, nor meant to be but the essence of it wouldn't go away. I have been told I am a naturally funny writer - time will tell - apparently being cynical and grumpy is a telltale trait. My RomCom isn't either of these things.
