What are some of the biggest tips you would give to aspiring young adult authors?

Tommy Wallach Write for a couple hours every day. 7 days a week, if you can. Don't jump projects (i.e. finish one thing before you move onto the next one, even if you suspect the thing you're working on sucks). Read lots of books, including plenty of famous books written for and by adults (not only YA, or only sci-fi, or only ANYTHING). Dance like no one's watching.
