B.A. Paris I'm glad you enjoyed the book! And that's a good question! But the police wouldn't know that Grace painted the portraits in the basement because she wouldn't tell them that she painted them. And the four dinner guests presume that the other paintings Jack mentioned are in his and Grace's bedroom - because they're for their eyes only - and they will never know that they aren't in there. So it wouldn't actually be a problem :)

Will your next book be as emotionally tolling as "Behind Closed Doors?" I recommend your debut novel to all my friends but prelude it with "You need to in the right place mentally before diving into this world." I have never felt so much anxiety in reading a novel as I did with "Behind Closed Doors." You are very talented. One more thing, no more animals getting hurt in the books!
