The idea for 'Song Bird' developed out of my second novel 'Life Song' to date, I've used a central image and/or motif to organise my story telling. The image of the golden guitar as a road for Nikki's journey in 'Song Bird' occurred to me when I was at Tamworth for the Country Music Festival held there each January.
