Hey there, Michael. I'm curious, will Chronicles #4 take place in between the two Riyria series', or will it be a sequel to Revelation? I'd love to know what happens after, but the ending was so damn perfect it would be a shame to go beyond it!

Hey Jedidiah, thanks for asking. People are often confused between the two series. "Riyria Revelations" is the first series published but ends with Heir of Novron. "Riyria Chronicles" was published after but takes place before the events of Revelations. So, since this is a "Chronicle" book it would fit between The Death of Dulgath and Theft of Swords. So yeah, your first guess was the correct one.
I agree with you about how perfectly Revelations ended and that's why I've been avoiding doing anything past it. Maybe someday -- and that may mean "way past" the ending but I have plenty to write about in the meantime so it's not something that is pressing on me...although many people would like to see it.

Hi Michael! I was curious about the release date for Age of Empyre. Some authors are pushing back their release dates due to COVID-19, citing not being able to promote the book, do signings, etc. Do you anticipate the release as planned, or might it be moved back? I'll support you either way (and already pre-ordered it), but an added wait would be brutal! :)

Thanks for doing this. I know that writing a lot is the best way to improve, but what have been some things you've learned as a writer that have pushed your works to a publishable state? For instance I realized I could write well - but did not know how to craft a good story. My first novels have no structure or plot beats. Knowing story structure has helped me a lot. Thanks!
