Do you feel personally engaged with the characters you are writing about? How do you separate fantasy from reality?

Scarlet Risque I put parts of myself and the people around me into my characters by investigating who they are. I separate reality and fantasy by hanging out with my friends and family, they support me and see me for who I am. I separate my fantasy world as my interior world and my exterior world as my reality. It is a thin line to cross and it takes courage to make our fantasies real.
