they only published the prince of thorns and left us hanging. for me there is no trouble, but my kid's English is equal to 0 so...i guess we just have to wait. Also they only have it as a paperback, so i' m still waiting for the hardcover until then i'll stick to the kindle. also i have to plan a visit to the UK to buy the books because they won't send to Romania...bummer?

I've asked my agent what the deal is, but it happens quite a bit in some countries, trilogies and series are abandoned because the first book did not sell well enough. Which makes people unwilling to buy the first book, which makes the first book not sell well enough... A vicious circle.
I think it happens overseas a lot because of the costs of translation. Even if Editura Trei have paid me an advance on the other two books it will likely be small compared to the cost of translation, and so they may choose not to go ahead with the other books.

I read Prince of Fools first and loved it so much that I found my way back to the Broken Empire series and have just finished book two. Is there a series before this one in which you describe more about what happened to the world and how it got how we see it in these books? I know there are little details here and there in the books but just curious...
