Hm, this is hard because I think foreshadowing tends to work differently in every story, so I can't necessarily think of any specific tips that apply to all. But I will say that it's best to be subtle with it. And it's usually something that you add / perfect in revision, since when you're drafting you're still discovering the story and that makes it hard to know what to foreshadow.
