I kept looking for a book that encompassed the ENTIRE realm of building a security program - technical, managerial, organizational, compliance... and couldn't find one. It was definitely something we were teaching to cybersecurity students (with a heavy emphasis on risk), so I got fed up and proposed writing it to an editor. Next thing I knew, I was hip deep in cranking out a book.
