Susan Wittig Albert Thanks, Ann! It's good if you can do that, because the "arc" of the series follows the years of the Depression, from the early to the mid 1930s. The characters also grow and change, partly in response to the changing demands of the times. In my mind, this 6-book series is like one long novel in six "chapters."
