I absolutely loved the Accidental Empress! I just finished it the other day, 9/30/16, so I am a little late reading your historical novels. I just wanted to express how completely sweep away I became, I truly felt as if I was Sisi, experiencing a wide array of emotions that still linger with me days after finishing the book, now I'm 1/2 way thru book 2. Has "Hollywood" thought about a new film based on your books?

Beth, how can I thank you enough?
This is such a wonderful message and I really appreciate it-- and I'm so thrilled that the books resonated with you! To answer your question, yes, we are in the process of adapting both SISI books to a screenplay for a screen version! Here is the full announcement: http://allisonpataki.com/allison-pata...
All my best,

Hi Allison,
How did you decide to make Peggy's character so unpleasant? It makes sense that she would/could have been. I'm wondering if you came across historical information that indicated she was similar to the character you created for her. Great book - loved the read and I did like Peggy's character. I was just wondering if there was information that she had been that nuts so to speak.
Thank you,
Diane

Oh, that's wonderful to hear that both books are being adapted for screen. Congratulations. I cannot wait! Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comments. I really appreciate hearing back from you. I finished the second book too, which I loved. I was in tears at the end, well probably a couple more times too, but what sad ending for such an incredible person. What is your next book on ?
