Goodreads asked E.M. Kelly:

How do you get inspired to write?

E.M. Kelly My mom would bring us to our towns library as a way to entertain my sister and I. My mom would read to us and tell us about the books she was reading. I remember my mom telling me about Stephen King's The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger back in the early 80's (I was 7 when it came out). I still remember the cover and how cool the book sounded. Of course she didn't let me read it but I was hooked. I used to dream about the cover and imagined how the story went. It's kinda funny because she let me read Cujo though (awesome book by the way. Also by Stephen King. Check it out.) I've since read the Gunslinger (a few times) and it was better than I could have imagined. I've always been envisioning stories in my head since then and one day I decided to try my hand at writing.
