Goodreads asked Cynthia Reeg:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Cynthia Reeg Honestly, I don't usually have writer's block. My mind seems to be creatively turned on most of the time. And to help make sure that when I sit down at the computer I do have something to write, I make a very brief outline of any novel I'm working on. That way I know where I think the scene/chapter should go. Usually I can take off from there. I put my characters on the stage and let them act it out. I also keep the creative juices flowing by always reading and by hanging out with other talented people--online or in person. Join a critique group or SCBWI. Those are great helps!
