Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

T. Birmingham Oh, I like this question. My book started with a dream. I know that's a common answer, but it's true. Alexia, as a member of the Schrom (Skrom) dealing with the idea of good versus evil, is the result of a dream I had about a woman named Alexia lost in a house, her red hair flowing around her as blood and death overtake and consume her. The real question my book asks is whether she will let that death and blood be the center of her universe. Whether evil is innate or a learned behavior. Many of the ideas and even the Clans in the book are also a result of dreams I have had. So, the whole book overall is probably based on about seven different dreams. A lot of magic in that...
