Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Simon Michael It was a natural continuation from the story in "The Brief". Charles Holborne is a conflicted character; he doesn't know if he's a working class bloke made good, or a member of the establishment (and doesn't fit in with either); his moral sense is uncertain - a man who tried to do the right thing, but f***s up a lot. This book tests him yet again - but in a very direct way which pouts his life at risk.

My roots are in Glouchestershire , under a surname of Wiles. I am told UK names often refer to occupation? In Wiles case it refers to either carpenter or tailor, I'm told- Does Michael" have any occupational reference?
