I wanted to inform you I devoured Lilac Girls! My question though is what made you decide to use three characters and plant the story the way you did?

Martha Hall Kelly Hi Morgan, I'm so happy you enjoyed Lilac Girls! I decided to use three characters since I wanted to tell the story from the point of view of three different countries: US, Germany and Poland. I started writing it from Caroline's POV only but soon added Herta since I read about her in Caroline's archives and then Kasia since I needed the "Rabbit" perspective.
