Kaitlyn asked Maria V. Snyder:

Hi Maria, I was wondering if you find it hard to finish writing a series - as hard as it is to finsih reading it... I always want more. Is it similar for you as an author or is it simple-ish to finish the story and start on a new one? Also do you find it hard to juggle family life and writing- considering it takes time to write a novel (I know it's probably a weird question to ask) Thanks. :)

Maria V. Snyder Hi Kaitlyn! I did have a difficult time finishing the Study books - there was a number of plot lines to wrap up and lots of characters to keep track of at the end, plus writing an ending that would satisfy my readers. As for the emotional side of things, I think by this point I'm ready to move on - I've been with these characters and this story for the last four years and I need a new challenge.

It is hard to juggle family life and writing - when my kids were little, I had no social life - I didn't watch TV or go to movies with friends because I didn't have time - it was either the family or writing. Now that my kids are older, I have more time to do fun things again!
