Robyn Carr 1) Two things were really fun in The Life She Wants. First, one of my favorite tropes is starting over or reinventing yourself -- which is what Emma must do after losing everything, including her reputation. And second, I loved examining the relationship between Emma and Riley, once best friends and then at odds for many years after falling apart over a man.

And -- most writer friends are stuck with email, skype and phone chats to stay in touch, and then we sometimes meet at conferences. Sometimes we don't actually see each other for years. My local good friends, as it happens, are not writers.
