Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Alison Armstrong Having finished Revenance, I wanted to expand upon the themes of vampirism, addiction, and visionary/hallucinogenic experiences, so I decided to write a sequel that would further explore parasitic diseases such as Toxoplasmosis that induce bizarre psychological symptoms. Cats, often associated with the paranormal and the mystical, worshipped, feared, and venerated, are linked in the sequel to the vampire's mythic allure.
