The Throne of Fire (The Kane Chronicles, #2):
I just finished "the Red pyramid" but even though I always have loved the Egyptian mythology I found it really not half as entertaining as Rick's other books. I have finished all the other series and can't wait for "the Hammer of Thor" so I decided to read these books since I always have been a great fan of Egypt and its mythology. But is the second book on the series better than the first one?

I say they get progressively better, however I listened to the last two books as audio books.
