Goodreads asked Kai .:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Kai . When I help an aspiring writer I look for one thing - their intent. If they are writing to achieve fame or accolades, then I have nothing for them. No advice to give and very little patience to extend. Because once they encounter the difficulties, they will drop writing and move on to the next glory seeking venture.
If they are writing because they want to be an author and love literature, then they have my 100% support and simple advice: give yourself over to it, write from your love/passion, and make the project as complete as possible. Think about your reader and the fact that you will influence someone else's thought. It's a powerful thing. Respect it and be true to yourself. Writing is a risk, bits of you are buried in each story. Be brave enough to delve into your work unapologetically, give it your all and, when complete, move on.
