Goodreads asked William Timothy Murray:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

William Timothy Murray I'm not sure I really believe in Writer's Block. Of course, as with anything, there are times that you just don't feel like working. Times when you need a break. Or times when you feel stymied by some problem or obstacle that keeps you from moving ahead with your work.

I don't waste time agonizing over all that. I just turn to a different task that needs to be done, a different passage to write, editing, or some other task that needs attention. There's always something to do. When I come back to the troublesome task, I almost always feel better about tackling it. The key is to just keep working, because idleness will just make you dull.
