Goodreads asked Charlie Raymond:

How do you get inspired to write?

Charlie Raymond Having been a journalist for many years, but always writing for an editor, I wanted to write for myself. So I did. Everyone who ever said, "I wish I could write a book," is really saying, "I wish I wasn't so lazy, could stop watching TV and getting drunk with my mates, and instead sit at a laptop and do the work needed to get a book out there..." and that's how you start. At some point you'll realise that you're nearer the end than the start, and that's where it gets really fun.
