In JDATE 3 will we be getting more backstory on John? And how do you feel about people shipping Dave/John? <3

I can't ever see there being a flashback to his childhood or anything, details about John's backstory are always just dropped on the fly in a way that makes his life seem more and more ridiculous. It's funnier without the context. I think if John and Dave were to ever switch sexual orientations, both of them would feel like they could do better than the other one.

I feel like the JDATE series is one of the few fictional universes that feels open-ended, like most anything can, will, and has happened. So what is your process around world building? And do you write linearly or do you work from a broader set of ideas and form a story around those? Please and Thanks.

im a trans woman and a big fan of your work, & i want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. ur writing helped me articulate, & come to terms with my dysphoria. David's stress related to testosterone helped me go forward w/ my transition. so, are you thinking of writing stories w/ queer characters in the future? also, i relate to ur works so much i was wondering if youve everquesstioned ur own gender/sexuality?
