I had the same question. My interpretation is based on a paragraph or two about it, when Yossarian says he understands why she does it, something about being the cause of war, so in a sense that for her, he impersonated the war (and by consequence, Nately's death).
My doubts relate to the way that he starts seeing her all the time, and I wonder if she means something else for Yo-Yo and the reader; the feeling of pain from everyone who lost someone in the war, something that does not fade way and it is always presente, etc.
Anyway that is my reading but I would also welcome diff ones.
