S.D. Banks Thank you so much for your kind comments! I hope your mom likes it, too. Yes, I plan to continue writing. It isn't yet my "day job," however, so the next book may take awhile! I am most intrigued by your comment that books like this are rare. It interests me because a lot of the professional feedback I got in the early stages said that it a) is too long, b) has too much history, and c) doesn't have enough sex/romance. I tried very hard to make my manuscript conform with commercial guidelines and just couldn't do it. In the end, I wrote the kind of book that I like to read and -- as you said -- those are few and far between among popular fiction these days! I am so gratified to hear that someone else sees it my way. Very encouraging!
