You present a beautiful representations of redemption and resurrection in the Riyria Revelations, as well as a wonderful image of heaven/the afterlife. Are you Catholic (or some other Christian denomination)? I've rarely seen such perfect parallels in fantasy stories.

Hey Jaime, Thanks for the kind words. I was raised Catholic, but I spent a good portion of my life on a search for my own beliefs, and in so doing, I've borrowed a bit from many religions and philosophies. I do believe that people are basically good, and when we make mistakes we should try to redeem ourselves. Certainly better than the alternative? Does that result in a ticket to an afterlife? Or does that mean you come back a better person? Can't say I know with 100% surety, but even without the promises of "something good" for straightening your life out, I still think it's worth doing. Does that make sense?

Hi Michael I have noticed that many authors who are published with well established publishing houses are releasing new series via the self published route (Amazon's CreateSpace mostly). Would love to hear your thoughts on why an author might do this, especially as it seems that the end product is priced higher and the book sizing is also very different to the usual sizes?

Hi Mike Your collection of the Riyria series is confusing with some books in, some out and some in more than one series. I don't want to miss any books just because they are not in the series I chose. So my question. Would you recommend a single reading list of all the Riyria books to accomplish this ? Are some books stand alone ? Thanks Softbananas
