Serpil asked this question about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4):
In the next book, Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Harry can see the Thestrals, the horses that pull the carriages because he's seen death. But why he doesn't see them when returning home at the end of the 4th year, at the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? He should have seen them because they roam around the carriages, Ron gets Krum's autograph...
Kristen I noticed that as I was reading through them again, but technically, he always should have been able to see them.
