Ashley asked this question about Baby Doll:
Is this book very similar to 'Room' by Emma Donoghue?

Way more about family drama than the psychological effects on a young woman held captive for nearly a decade, and on the child born of rape. The girl could have just come home from college to the same scenarios that are presented here, for all the impact the kidnapping has on the story.
