I enjoyed Withering-By-Sea & have put its sequel on my TBR list! W-B-S reminded me of Joan Aiken's The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, F.H. Burnett's Sara Crewe, & some of the books of Patrice Kindl. Have you read any of them?

Hi Helen! I'm so sorry, I didn't know there were questions here! Yes, I love Joan Aiken, she is one of my favourite writers for kids, and of course The Little Princess and the Secret Garden.
