Does anyone like that the author wrote the railroad as a physical, operating one? I felt it unnecessary and beyond the scope of possibility.

The question “who built this” never gets properly asked or answered, despite Cora’s desire to find out. She’s dissatisfied with the first answer “who builds everything?” because she knows it doesn’t quite add up and we know that too. But while i found it distracting, the rest of the book is so fantastic I think you have to just look past it!(less)
