Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

John Brhel My co-writer Joe and I were talking about wanting to write a story inspired by the characters Dr. Vink and Sardo from the television series "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" We ended up creating an entirely new character that bore shades of these two fantastic men -- Dr. Marvelry -- and we wrote one story exploring him and his universe. When we realized how much we liked writing the first story, we decided to write a whole book about Dr. Marvelry and his strange shop.
