Hi Jonathan the writer. Jonathan the other writer here. I wonder if you might tell me a little about your writing environment. Do you write at home? Do you listen to music or sound effects? Do you seal yourself off from others while you write, or are you accessible? Do you work differently for first drafts than for re-writes/editing? Take your time. (If in the first five I'll take that book, happy to trade for mine.)

Hello Jonathan!
Great to hear from you! As far as environment goes, I like to say that the precursor to a great environment is time.
I.e. If writers like us put regular, quality writing time into our schedule, the environment will work itself out. Every day you'll write, and naturally gravitate towards whatever works best for you. Within your daily schedule you'll just set up your place - be it your room, a coffee shop, or a bar - and each day you'll get closer to what works best for you!
My writing environment? The bus. It sounds silly - but as a working father with a full-time job, it is the only time I can get away. I get on the bus - 1hr of writing time. Lunch hour can be a second hour - again the place is of less import, because I have the time, and that is what matters. Finally since I am then stuck at work without a car, the third hour return is kind of forced upon me, which leads to increased productivity! 3 hours, built into the cracks of daily life.
I write a bit about this here:

So that's it Jonathan, and please tell me what you do!
And look out for a PM with some marketing tips! My thing with other writers is rather than force my writing upon them, I share marketing tips - which can provide value!

Hey Jon, We had a great "conversation" a couple of months back, and you started a review for my book The Road to Damascus. I changed jobs days later and had a work injury and in all the kerfuffle, I lost your contact information, and it appears your website is down. Can you give me a shout? You can reach me at mark.l.tapper@gmail.com. Sorry it's taken me so long to reach out. Best, Mark
