Does anyone know a child that has read the book? What was their opinion of the book? I find myself wondering if I would have enjoyed it more If I was in the recommended age bracket.

I lo…moreI read it when I was 12 but was put off by some of the slower parts, but finished it when I was 14 with a deep regret of not finishing it before. I love this book despite the slower parts and some unrealistic things like the parent's reactions etc. I don't think this book can be solely for children. I think it can appeal to anybody and give anyone a good read. (less)
