I don't know if it's stupid of me to ask, but I've read For Real (which was nice, thank you very much) and I thought that I'd like to know more about Jasper from there and so I wondered if you're ever considering writing something about him... as a part of Spires Series, perhaps?

Alexis Hall Funny you should ask... (and, no, it's not at all stupid) ... I was sort of sequel-baiting a bit with Jasper. I didn't entirely intended but the character slightly got away with them. I do potentially have plans for a lot of the secondary characters in the published Spires stories, including Jasper, though I'm only contracted for one additional book at present. And that probably won't be Jasper because, uh, as you can probably tell his miserable as sin and I want to write something a bit more upbeat for the next book. Especially since PANSIES will be quite intense I think.

BUT, I did want to celebrate the RITA thing and give some kind of thank you to all my readers for being wonderful and supportive and ... err ... letting me do what I do, which is write kind of weird stuff. So I wrote a 7k short about Jasper, set during FOR REAL. It's ... not a barrel of laughs, I have to say. Okay, it's messed up and pretentious as hell, but it's very Jasper. I'll be releasing that as a freebie with my newsletter VERY SOON.
