Does the Royal Spyness Mysteries have to be read in order...I just purchased Crowned and Dangerous and then realized it was a series?

It might be a good idea to read the first one and if you read the others you will see the development in relationships. But each of the stories stands alone

Hello, Ms. Bowen. As an avid fan of Molly Murphy, I generally wait for paperback editions, but this past December, I couldn't resist diving into "Away In A Manger" while waiting for Christmas to arrive(Thank you!). "The Edge Of Dreams" is next in my to-read list, so I hope to be certain, "Time Of Fog And Fire" will be set in early 1906, won't it? If so, I look forward to Molly's account of a certain historic disaster!
