Was anyone else bothered by the unusually large number of typos in the Minotaur Books edition? Just about every page had words that ran together or words that should have been deleted. I found it an annoyance that somewhat hindered my enjoyment of the book. I wonder how I might contact the publisher or the author. If I were Mr. Bannalec, I would be looking for another publisher.

Totally agree with Susan. It wasn't really just proofing that was the problem. The word and letter spacing was egregious.

I actually downgraded my rating because of this! I would have given this 5 stars (for the writing and mystery), but the lack of proofreading was just so bad that it became a real hindrance to reading this one!

There are serious mistakes in mechanics and style throughout the book, making it distracting and difficult to read. "It had not beena a long exchange, Dupin hadexpressed his position categorically, whereupon he hadmarched into the Quatre Vent."
The translation seemed stilted much of the time, as well.
It was not an enjoyable book to read. Every time I came across the incredibly numerous mistakes, I stopped and thought of my high school english teacher and her red pencil!
The author needs both a new publisher and translator.
