(view spoiler)[Hello! I absolutely LOVE Made You Up. It touched my heart in so many ways, and I adore Alex (and Miles). However, I'm still a bit confused on Miles. Was he intending to commit suicide? And if he did, when was the point that he realized he really did want a future (with his friends and Alex)? And what was Miles panicking about exactly when he was speaking to Tucker (where Tucker inferred he did something stupid)? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Miles did not *want* to die, but he did provoke his father knowing that he might be injured very badly, or killed, and that was a calculated risk. So I suppose he was suicidal in that he was willing to die for his cause, but the only reason he chose that option was because Alex being hospitalized made him panic.
With that in mind, I think he always wanted a future with his friends, he just didn't fully believe it was possible.
As for your last question, I'm not sure what part that is--but it's been a while since the last time I read through the book! If you could clarify, I'd be happy to answer. (hide spoiler)]

I've been a big fan of your writing for a while, specifically of Eliza and Her Monsters! (Although Made up up is also incredible!). I was just wondering, what fandoms have you been in, and what effects have those fandoms had on your writing? Thank you and have a great day! :)
