What made you write your own books?

Allen MacDiarmid Although the "Rich and Famous" get a ghost writer to do the writing, I am neither rich nor famous so I had not considered any other alternative other than doing it myself. Besides, I enjoy writing, I keep a daily journal, even though it has not much content of value or interest to anyone else, I was always joining "sea story" time when in the company of Military (active, retired or veteran) and after more than one suggested I document some of those stories, I started in and it is forming up into two books so far. I could easily add a third about my experiences sailing my various boats about rivers, lakes, bays, oceans, canals, etc.
