How do you insulate yourself while writing your amazing books ?Have just finished Every Crooked Path and wanted you to know have read all your books except the one on writing. Am a reader not a writer. This latest books subject matter hit home with me and was difficult. However you know how to bring out all emotions in your writing. Loved all your books and await another. When will another on the Bowers be out?

Steven James Thanks. Yes, it is difficult sometimes because I want to emotionally relate to the characters of my books, but I don't want to emotionally identify with the evil I portray. Prayer and perspective helps. Glad you enjoyed the books. The next one should be out early next year.

First off I wanted to say how big of a fan I am of yours. "Every Crooked Path" was the best book I have read in many, many years. It was probably also one of the hardest books for me to read due to the sensitive subject matter but you handled it masterfully. I was wondering if you ever thought about writing a book with another author? And if you could choose any other to write a book with, who would it be?
