Stevie, thank you so much! Your question isn't trivial at all. I chose the name Cora because it's the "core" of someone, the essential self. But I also like when things echo other things, and "apple core" and "Snow White" fit perfectly in this regard. Unlike Snow White, Cora can eat the whole apple, down to the core! -- Thanks so much, again!

I just finished reading A Trick of the Light. It was amazing and truly touching. You don't really hear much about boys/men being anorexic, but your book really showed that it can happen to anyone. It felt extremely real once I figured out who/what was telling the story, and I have a question. Why did you write it so that it was his anorexia telling the story? What made you think of doing that?
