Kristen Ashley It's mentioned in WD that Franka and Kristian's dad is dead and Kristian has inherited his money. This we heard from Frey's POV.

I didn't get into this misconception in MIDNIGHT SOUL because the situation as it stood with Noc/Frey's discovery of what was happening with Franka was pretty intense and going into that would bog down the action as it occurred. It wasn't about that...it was about what was happening to Franka. And it would be against Frey's character for him to get sidetracked by that when he'd witnessed what he'd witnessed.

I'd planned to put an entire chapter into the book later that I decided against adding because what I wanted in that chapter broke the flow of what actually happened and it would add to the length of the book without adding anything crucial to the story being told.

I know that's very vague but it's difficult to answer this question for a book that isn't out yet without offering spoilers.

So you weren't mistaken. But as Franka's dad isn't actually a major character in the MIDNIGHT SOUL (just a catalyst for something major that happened)...well, I can't really go on without spoilers again -- this situation wasn't perused at length in the book because the characters as they told me the story didn't feel it necessary.
