Goodreads asked R.L. Blackhurst:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

R.L. Blackhurst Just do it! Write what you are passionate about, not what you think might sell well. I think your readers can sense this. Many people raised their eyebrows at me when they heard what my book was about, and even one woman remarked, "what a ridiculous title for a book!" It didn't bother me, I wrote it because I wanted to read it, it was what I wanted. I knew there would be other people out there that would "get it", and I am so thrilled when I get feedback about how much somebody has enjoyed it. So get on with it! If you are a writer, you must write! You will go crazy otherwise.
