Purely a matter of time. Career/school/children/social life ate it all. Also, was tempted to ride on potential for a long time--a great writer unrealized is better than an actual flop, if you know what I mean. To actually produce is to be rated. Seems silly now. Most mostly it was lack of opportunity.
