Everyone is raving about this book but I just can't get into it. I've read the first two chapters and they are so confusing. Is there a book I should read before this one?

It is headed back to the library and maybe I'll re check it out in the future and give it another try. Note: I have not read the original trilogy, maybe that is what I need to do. (less)
