Everyone is raving about this book but I just can't get into it. I've read the first two chapters and they are so confusing. Is there a book I should read before this one?

By the way, you should read the shadow and bone trilogy for better understanding, but it's not as good as the six of crows, which is amazing once you get past the opening chapters.(less)
