Everyone is raving about this book but I just can't get into it. I've read the first two chapters and they are so confusing. Is there a book I should read before this one?

Actually I think Six of Crows is the better book series--but it's easier to understand from page one if you already get the "Grisha stuff." That said, if you are a reader who can roll with vaguely mysterious references, so long as the author eventually explains what's critical to the plot, you might like this just fine on its own.(less)
