I've never really struggled with this. Nothing more than small hitches, often because I'm unsure how to transition. It's not because I'm brilliant (though, let's be honest...) but rather because I have the entire series planned (roughly) and my writing is usually light-hearted and shallow. Also, I clamp the headphones tight and crank the music.
